Wayne, how much time and money did it take you do this? You never mentioned that. Thanks!

      Hi George,
That’s a great question. I didn’t mention it because I just didn’t think about it.
Time: not much. I had the basic PowerShell script from a couple of years ago to do the merging (see that post). All that I had to incorporate was the reading / filtering of the Excel spreadsheet versus the file of InvoiceIDs in the proper order. I’ve already been working with the ImportExcel module, so this was pretty straight-forward. So, time to get the script working was about one to two hours. Now, making it something that I would release to the public (parameters, documentation, etc.) took a bit longer.

Money: the only money spent was the purchasing of the perforated paper and printer. We had already decided a couple of years ago to get the printer to offset the printing costs, in part for doing the SpeedPASSes in the old print them / cut them format. So I don’t count this. The paper cost is dependent on how many pages you order. 500 sheets is ~$65.00

Wayne, I’d love to get rid of Speedpass as well. I’ve toyed with the idea of a flatbed scanner which would allow attendees to scan themselves (no secret scans), but I’d need to figure out how organizers could do a raffle from the names that got scanned.
